Bodmin's own voluntary litter picking, bulb planting, flower bed tending and gardening team, the Bodmin BlueTiTs, have been working hard on getting the town looking tidy and beautiful for the coming warmer months.
Last year, the team collected a massive number of bags of rubbish - 381 in all!
Everyone who takes part in litter picks helps to make a huge difference to the appearance of Bodmin and the environment.
Bodmin BlueTiTs augment the work of Bodmin Town Council and is supported by Clean Cornwall who arrange with Biffa to remove the rubbish bags the litter pickers produce and provide volunteer insurance cover.
In addition to this, Bodmin BlueTiTs support other organisations that work to improve Bodmin’s environment. For example, Rhys Perry, Countryside Officer Sites and Trails East’s for CORMAC Environment, who arranged the Bodmin Beacon tree planting day on Tuesday 14th January.
