Bodmin Summer Holiday Round-up

Check out this little summary of just some of the fantastic local events that you can look forward to this summer!

Bodmin has certainly kicked off the summer with some great local events! PandaFest was a huge success with their headliner, the one and only, Tinchy Stryder, there has been a charity car wash and an open day from Bodmin Community Fire Station and Wow! Wasn’t Bodmin Pride just incredible!?

However, it’s not over yet! At 7pm tonight (Friday the 29th) at Bodmin Town Football Club you can catch the awesome Dragstock event! Grab your tickets now! A fantastic way to kick off the weekend festivities with Alstock taking place tomorrow, Saturday the 30th from 12pm, at the same place!

If festivals aren’t quite your thing but you are still looking to enjoy some music this weekend, then maybe you would like to pop along to St Meubreds Church in Cardinham at 7:30pm to enjoy the Loveny Male Voice Choir, in concert with Millpool Chorale Ladies. Tickets are £8 on the door!

If you fancy a bit of a laugh you can catch Sips and Giggles Comedy Night at The Old Library on Saturday the 6th of August! Grab a drink at the bar and enjoy some of the finest comedians in the South West! It's FREE entry but there will be a collection bucket on the door for the talented comedians if you fancied bringing some cash! Book your seat here!

There are some fantastic fun activities for children this summer taking place in and around Bodmin. Fun on the Folly is back for all the family with some fun pop-up performances around the town on the 19th – 21st of August!

Before that though, you may want to take your child along to Superheroes Family Fun Event on Friday the 5th of August at 10am- 11:30am at Bodmin Town FC. Berryfields Youth Club also have a vast range of great activities for young people aged 10-16! Follow them on facebook or contact natasha.hewett@ypc.org or abbi.verran@ypc.org

While the children are off exploring this summer perhaps you could put some time aside for yourself and go along to the Bodmin Vintage Second Life Pop-up Event on the 26th August from 10am.

Or treat yourself to something cute at the Bodmin Craft Market held at The Old Library on the 6th of August 10pm-2pm or something yummy from the Bodmin Produce Market which takes place the last Saturday of the month at Mount Folly Square from 9am-3pm.

If you fancy venturing slightly out of Bodmin but would prefer not to battle through too much tourist traffic then have a mindful day wondering around the Withiel Flower and Art Festival taking place in the 26th – 29th of August and enjoy an exhibition of local artistic talent.

Or if you’re missing out on all the July festival vibes, then pop along to the Lanivet Inn on the 7th of August for their Sunday sessions!

Bodmin has so much to offer this summer, so remember to explore and support local, as well as enjoying that ice-cream in St. Ives!
