Murder by Appointment celebrates 30th anniversary in Bodmin
A growing theatre company has celebrated its 30th anniversary in Bodmin recently.

Thirty years ago, on 2nd June 1992, theatre director Chris Batters set up a new theatre company specialising in themed events - in particular, murder mystery evenings and weekends. A small acorn called 'Murder by Appointment' was planted.
Over the following years the company rapidly grew and expanded its area as far away as Oxfordshire and Guernsey.
Six years ago Chris was joined by professional actor Sophie Pike and together, even fighting against the Covid lockdown period, they have managed to survive strongly and during 2022 are forging new records for the company.

Over 30 years, the company has brought over £5-million pounds worth of income to its venues in ticket sales, benefiting Bodmin & Wenford Railway during its summer season murder mystery events, as well as many Cornish charities receiving support in recent years.
