If you are a fan of folk music, make sure you head to Launceston Town Hall on Saturday, 23rd September for the launch of Launceston Folk Club, where Bodmin Folk Club will also be taking part in the celebrations.
The recently formed Launceston Folk Club will be holding a community launch event between 10am and 10pm on the 23rd September, featuring a performance and workshop from Kevin Dempsey (1pm-3pm), Morris Dancing, a folk dance session, plus storytelling and traditional folk songs. Launceston Library will also be running a family activity day alongside the main event so that youngsters can also get involved in the world of folk music, storytelling and dance.
Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. All profits will go towards supporting those living with PTSD/ trauma, particularly those who work in the emergency services, frontline health, or struggle with chronic health challenges and disabilities.
