Events have already begun to welcome the annual year of fundraising for local causes, undertaken by the Mayor of Bodmin, Cllr Phil Cooper.
The Mayor’s chosen charities for the year are Bodmin Relief in Need (BRIN) and Children’s Hospice South West’s Little Harbour.
In October, the monthly quiz nights held at Shire House Suite were launched, and will take place on the last Sunday of each month (excluding December), at 7pm, for teams of four.
BRIN offers help to anyone in need of support in the Bodmin area, working with community groups and professional organisations that have direct contact with people in need. Things such as food vouchers, fuel payments, baby bundles and vouchers for schools are provided by BRIN.
Little Harbour cares for children and young people with life limiting conditions and provides support for family members. Respite, short breaks, and emergency, palliative and end of life care are offered.
