Step into Christmas with Bodmin's Christmas Lights switch-on event

Following the success of Lights Up 2021 and the town take-over of festive fun, Bodmin Christmas Lights Committee, in association with a host of local partners, are excited to announce an elfy dose of free family activity on Friday 25th November.

The first thing to know is the Christmas Lights Switch On is at 6.30pm. Pirate FM’s Neil Caddy will host and be joined by local guests.

Leading up to this, an array of free family activity is taking place from 5pm across the town centre. It’s an elf theme this year, so don your jingle bells and stockings and get in the festive spirit!


Some highlights include:

The Old Library - Elves in Training, Christmas Crafts, Elf & Beauty Face Painting, Elf & Fitness Dance Performance by KBSK at 6pm.

Light & Life Church 81 Fore Street - Nativity Photo Booth.

PolyRhythm 81 Fore Street – Festive Jam Session.

Martin & Budge - Free entertainment.

Market Arcade – Millpool Choir.

14 Fore Street – Elf HQ – The Art of Elfing.

Fore Street - Elf & Safety Wandering Elves and Buskers.

Mount Folly – Bodmin Town Council Christmas Market from 4pm, Bodmin Town Band 6pm–6.15pm,

Festive songs by Bodmin Way Community Choir at 6.15pm,

Christmas Light Switch-On at 6.30pm,

Bodmin Town Band 6.30pm–6.45pm.

Clock tower - Dance Performance by KBSK at 6.45pm.

Outside Card Factory - Bodmin Lion’s Santa Sleigh.

Honey Street – Buskers.
